Tetrahelix is about the cycle of life; inspirations in creating the piece include Synergetic Geometry, erosion, and the helical form of DNA. It is one of a series of sculptures originating as pure geometric form that is transformed through de-constructive methods that simulate nature’s tools of entropy (heat, pressure, water, wind etc.). Standing in front of Google headquarters, the sculpture was commissioned by ALZA in conjunction with the City of Mountain View’s Public Art Committee.
