Conceived as an internally lit sculpture, Baja Luna was built for the Magnussen Lodge in Lake Tahoe, California . The onyx stones are carved thin to be translucent and are illuminated by 95 internal xenon lights. Hung in the 25' interior by steel-reinforced hemp ropes, it is viewed from both outside and inside the living space. This magnificent building of granite and pine log creates the setting for this piece.
