The metaphor, "Ocean of Knowledge", refers to the library as a doorway to our wealth of knowing: this is the concept behind Oceano. Conceived around the geometry of a Mobius hole, the ocean-inspired forms evolve from a single opening in the piece, signifying infinity and the endless possibility of learning. Oceano is permanently installed at the entrance of the Allen Public Library and Civic Center.
